Okay, let's talk about how to actually support new moms. If you are someone who's wanting to support a new mom in your life and you're asking, how can I help? Just know that that actually puts more pressure on her to figure out what needs to be done. And so a more helpful option is to always say, I'm bringing over dinner at five. I'm putting your laundry in the laundry machine and I will put it in the dryer when it's done. That actually is helpful because it takes a task off her plate. She is busy figuring out how many ounces the baby last drank, and if they had a bottle at this time, when's the next bottle? And the nap time, and they slept for 30 minutes, and it's too much. So just do the task.
