Not everyone loves being pregnant. And if that is you, nothing is wrong with you. In my practice, I see so many women who feel scared to admit this because they think that it means that they won't love their baby or that they're already a bad mom. But here's the truth. You can deeply want your baby and still really hate how pregnancy feels. Both can exist at the same time. Pregnancy is a massive physical, emotional, and identity shift. For some women, it brings glowing joy and for others, it brings anxiety, a loss of control, discomfort, or grief for their old life. And none of that predicts what kind of mother that you will be. What matters is that you talk about it instead of carrying it alone. You are not the only one feeling this, I promise. This is exactly the kind of thing that we work through together in therapy. Support can make such a difference. If you need support in this season. Check the link in my bio. You can schedule a free consultation and as always, follow along for more honest conversations about motherhood and mental health.
