So many of my moms say that nighttime is the hardest part of the day after having a baby. A lot of new moms experience what people call the sundown scaries. So as the day winds down, support drops off, your body is exhausted, and your nervous system finally stops running on adrenaline. So anxiety shows up, not because you did anything wrong, but because your system is depleted. Well, that anxiety doesn't mean that you're unsafe or something bad is about to happen. it means that your body has been holding it together all day. So if this happens to you, the goal isn't to fix the thoughts, it's to support your nervous system throughout the day so that when you get to that moment, you have something that you can pull from, from your cup.
