Okay, let's talk about why new motherhood can feel worse at four months than at four weeks. Because at four weeks, everyone is there. You have support. People are checking in. Adrenaline is high. You're in survival mode. But by four months, the casseroles are gone. Your partner might be back at work. You might be back at work. And sleep deprivation has accumulated. Hormones are still shifting. Baby's probably in a sleep regression. And here's the part that nobody says out loud. at four months you have a little bit more bandwidth and time to think and that's when anxiety can get louder so you might start asking like am I doing this right is my baby okay why don't I feel like myself why am I still overwhelmed postpartum anxiety does not always show up initially it can show up at any time in the postpartum period just because you didn't spiral two weeks in doesn't mean that you're necessarily in the clear.
