Here are three things that I wish someone had told me when I was a new mom. Number one, you're going to grieve the loss of your old life. And there may even be moments where you think, what have I done? Especially when you're exhausted and have sleep deprivation. And having those thoughts does not mean that you made a mistake. Number two, you're going to constantly wonder if you're doing something wrong with every sleep regression, every fussy phase. But the truth is babies act like babies. They sleep sometimes, they don't sleep other times, and it's all normal and it all passes. And number three, sometimes the village that you hoped for never arrives or it isn't the kind of support that you need. And feeling isolated as a new mom is incredibly common, which is why finding connections with other moms can make such a difference. If this resonates, please know that you are not alone. Save this for when you need the reminder.
